The 42nd Installation Meeting of Rotary Club of Purulia was held on July 19, 2008 at Shah Dharmshala, Purulia. Important dignitaries from the district like, DG, DG (Elect), DG (Nominee), Secretary General, DS (Administration), DS (Organization) along with a host of other district officials were present to attend the meeting. They were joined by members from RC Bokaro. In the evening, the Meeting was hosted by Rtn. Piyush Khedia and Rtn. Vivek Singhania. The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by DG Utpal Majumdar and prayer sung by the children of Manovikash Kendra. Beautiful and inspiring speeches were made by the dignitaries on the dais as well as the Outgoing & Incoming Presidents of our club. After the hand over of proceedings President Rtn. Sanjay Kataruka presented his speech. Members of our club were awarded & recognized for their 100% attendance in club activities and outstanding contribution to the club. Three (3) new members were inducted into the Rotary world. One (1) deserving student was given scholarship in the form of monetary assistance for annual maintenance. The installation issue of our club bulletin VOICE was also released by Guest of Honour DG Elect Rtn. Rajendra Khandelwal. A few members from other club expressed their views and appreciated the works done by our club. For this well attended meeting exceeding 250 people, a lucky draw was organized and prizes were given away instantly. The Installation Meeting concluded with delicious dinner being served to all and fellowship.
